Raw Material
Aluminum alloy EN AW-5005
High quality aluminum alloy, used for glossy and matt surface finishes of internal and external coatings of elevators and escalators.
Moreover, this product is suitable for additional surface treatments such as electro-colouring. Metaly® technology can also be used for other aluminium alloys.
Custom
Possibility of reproducing any image, graphic style or decorative pattern on Metaly® Alu.
Atmospheric and UV resistance
Tests were carried out at the materials engineering department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, according to the UNI EN 1670: 2007 and UNI EN 508-2: 2019 directives.
The tests results have shown that Metaly® Alu is as resistant to salt mist and UV rays as the EN AW-5005 aluminum alloy.
Contact with food products
The ion release and migration test of the surfaces carried out on Metaly® Alu have shown that the material has the same characteristics of the aluminium alloy EN AW-5005.
Ductility and Malleability
It is possible to apply deep drawing and more generally cold mechanical deformations on the Metaly® Alu slabs while maintaining the continuity of the decoration on the surface intact.
Electro colouring
In addition to the graphic decoration, basic surface colours can be added through the most modern electro-colouring technologies, without these affecting or modifying the Metaly® Alu decoration.
Conditions of supply
The Metaly® Alu product is supplied in flat slabs of the same dimensions as the raw material used. Further processing can be integrated upon customer request.
Maintenance
For maintenance, Metaly® Alu products require the same treatments as the corresponding aluminium alloys.
